Mount Hood, is located about 50 miles (80 km) east-southeast of Portland, on the border between Clackamas and Hood River counties. In addition to being Oregon's highest mountain, it is one of the loftiest mountains in the nation based on its prominence. We had visited here numerous times and it was usually shrouded in a a deep fog. Using a long exposure and with a bit of luck, the weather cleared for a few minutes allowing me to capture this shot and give the entire scene a greater sense of mystery and mood.
